The Samyang 14mm is a ultra wide-angle manual focus lens designed for both Full-Frame and APS-C Nikon digital SLR cameras.

This Nikon AE version features a built in CPU / electronic circuit, which allows for full control of exposure parameters accessible from Nikon DSLR cameras. It also allows i-TTL flash communication and EXIF data.

The Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical Lens features high build quality, with a built in petal shaped lens hood to help shade the lens from light sources behind the camera. Constructed from metal and high quality plastic, the 14mm features a smooth dampened manual focus ring, the aperture ring features ½ EV steps.

The Samyang 14mm features a wide, ribbed manual focus ring which is smooth and well-damped. This provides a positive manual focus, particularly suitable for more professional videoing / filming with DSLR’s where manual focus is preferred, enabling focussing pulling whilst video recording.

The Samyang 14mm’s features an impressive optical construction with emphasis on attaining the best optical performance possible. 14 elements are arranged in 12 optical groups with 3 high refractive index elements, 2x ED element, an aspherical hybrid element plus a aspherical glass element. The latest generation of anti-reflective layers - UMC - Ultra Multi Coated are incorporated to minimise flare and ghosting. Despite the number of elements, Samyang have managed to produce a relatively fast aperture of f2.8, at an amazingly low price point.

The lens is supplied with a special front snap-on lens cap, rear lens cap, and soft lens case.
